Wow what I weekend I had! First off I am thrilled to say that I made it to the top of Mt Washington in the
48th ANNUAL MT. WASHINGTON ROAD RACE. My time was not as bad as I expected, and was certainly not my best, but I am happy with the 2:11:41 time. It is always such a huge accomplishment just to make it to the top. I felt GREAT and am looking forward to next years race!
During the drive up, I finished Catherine's "A good stripe" Tank. Which is an abbreviated form of the
A Good Stripe Dress by Mareike Sattler, in the Spring 2008 IK. Then I started a Baby Cardigan for a friend who is due in August. Then later in the weekend, between having too much fun I started a pair of socks which have been just flying along at a good pace. Enjoy the photos!

These started out to be a basic K2,P1 rib sock, but I did not loke the ribbing in this yarn. The yarn has a lovely stripe and is best represented as stockinet, so I proceeded to reduce the rib with a cable twist and viola, I had invented my own sock. Not done yet though...stay tuned for the "leg".
