Summer of Sock 2008

SOS08 has created a monster (many I am sure). It is a competition to see who can knit the most socks during the 3 months of summer. I got talked into joining and have enjoyed every minute. No prizes yet for me, and there is even one person I know of who has already knit 18 pairs. I am up to pair #9. Check out the photos below.
Warning: if you are a Rockin' Sock Club member, there is a spoiler below.
Pattern: Stansfield 196 by Charlene Schurch from More Sensational Knitted Socks book
Yarn: Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Merino in Apricot
Needles: US1 circular
Love these socks - finished on July 17th

Pattern: Friday Harbor by Nancy Bush from Knitting on the Road

Finished: July 20th

Pattern: Whitby (my second pair) by Nancy Bush from Knitting on the Road
Yarn: Cherry Tree Hill Sportsock in Red and Black

Pattern: GumDrop by JCBriar from the Rockin' Sock Club
Yarn: BlueMoon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock Lightweight in Goody Goody
Needles: US0 circular (no matter what size I chose I could not get rid of the pooling, I tried US0, US1 and US2)

These socks can even be worn inside out. On the left you can see the inside out sock.

Did you sleep at all? How could you get those Gum Drops done so quickly? I was going to use my Goody Goody on the anklets, but I may be changing my mind...

I'm jumping on your cheerleader bandwagon - Go Linda Go!!
